Description
The R&M Jack Back OnSide moves the trailer jack back, out of the way so you can easily access your truck bed or SUV rear compartment to load and unload while hitched, and avoid tailgate damage from hitting the jack.
Supported Trailers: Mounts on ALL 2″ wide frames of ALL heights.
Mounting: Can be installed anywhere on the tongue — front or back, facing inside or outside on left or right frame rail, wherever most convenient.
Jack Orientation: The jack can face in a dozen different directions, one every 30°, so the up/down switch is always handy.
Strength: The two OnSide plates contain as much steel as a bar 1 inch thick and 3½ inches wide!
Supported Jacks: All standard electric or manual trailer jacks work on all Jack Backs.
Trailer Stabilizing System
Or buy two OnSides and mount them on both front corners to create a Trailer Stabilizing System — more powerful and much less costly than a Power Stabilizer Jack. OnSides install in minutes on the tongue instead of hours on the ground. Prevents the trailer from rocking when people or animals move around inside and when loading or unloading a hauling trailer. And you can use inexpensive jacks because you always have a backup if one fails.
Weatherproof, Rustproof, Durable
All steel parts are Hot Dip Galvanized — the ultimate rust prevention technology. The steel is immersed in +830°F molten zinc, which blends them metallurgically; the zinc effectively becomes part of the steel rather than sitting on the surface like paint or powder coating. Endures 35–50 years in harsh, saltwater environments and 50–75 years in typical inland locations.
OnSide Removable
- Features and Benefits: Has all the advantages and capabilities of the standard OnSide and adds others of great value to many.
- Ease of Removal: Can be detached in seconds by removing the padlock (or bolt) and unplugging the power cord.
- Ease of Electrical Installation: The electrical Plug-Unplug Connector installs in stock wiring with only 4 nuts/bolts — no crimping or soldering. Wrenches included.
- Benefits: Storing the trailer jack inside makes jack theft and weather damage impossible. And a trailer without a jack is much more difficult to steal.
- Electrical Integrity: The connector is rated IP67 by IEC, meaning it can survive total water submersion of 3 feet for 30 minutes — fully protected from rain and splashing.
- Boat Trailers: The great majority of small boat trailers have square or rectangular frame rails that accept OnSides. Because of the trailer’s immersion in water, a standard trailer jack would soon be destroyed — but if the jack is removed, it’s not immersed. Some trailers position the boat to allow this.
- Remove jack after hitching and before launching.
- Harder to steal trailer; impossible to steal jack while parked.
- Jack doesn’t interfere when floating boat back onto trailer.
- Avoids dragging jack on rough boat ramps with potholes.
- Back home, reattach jack and unhitch trailer.
- Boat trailer geometry varies widely, but feasibility is usually obvious.
- OnSide MADE in the USA!
- And Looks Way Cool!!!!
