Description
Lower your tailgate all the way down. Access your truck bed without unhitching. Stop denting your tailgate on the jack. The Jack Back OnTop is a trailer jack relocation kit that moves your tongue jack straight back on the frame, permanently solving the rear access problem for hitched trailers.
Key Features & Benefits
- Full rear access while hitched — The jack moves 8 to 38 inches back depending on the model, clearing the path for a fully lowered tailgate every time
- No cutting, no welding — Factory assembled; mounts to the tongue with a shackle. Most installs take under an hour
- Works with your existing jack — Compatible with electric and manual jacks; adjustable in 30° increments so the control always faces where you want it
- Centered on the tongue — Keeps balance consistent, which matters on RVs and livestock trailers with people or animals moving inside
- Built for outdoor life — Hot Dip Galvanized steel bonds zinc metallurgically with the steel itself. It won’t chip, peel, or scratch off. Rated for decades near saltwater, over half a century inland
- Expandable — Optional Side Arms add propane tanks, tool boxes, or storage containers. Optional Propane Lock discourages theft
- Supports all 2″ wide trailer frames at all heights
Three Models
- OnTop ($199) — 16″ and 20″ mounting bars; moves the jack 8 to 12 inches back
- OnTop Plus ($229) — 20″ and 24″ bars; moves the jack 8 to 17 inches back
- OnTop Maxi ($279) — 16″ and 20″ bars plus four 16″ extension bars; moves the jack up to 38 inches back. Can mount two batteries, one on each end
Most owners choose the OnTop or OnTop Plus. The Maxi is for longer tongues or anyone who wants maximum clearance and optional battery storage.
